Tuscon trip

Well lets start off saying that I have never been to Tuscon until this weekend! Lame, I know. But Jacob's parents invited us for a weekend of fun, so we went! We left Thursday night, and since it was only 2 hours away, we got there at a reasonable time. We stayed in the Westward Look Resort, which was quite amazing may I say. His parents got there kind of late, so Friday was the start of everything. Friday morning we got up and around 10:30 we went swimming. Sam LOVED it. We ended up staying in the pool until about 1, which resulted in some great sunburns. Haha. And then we went to Funtasticks. We did some bumper boats, bumper cars (which is not really bumper cars because you are not allowed to bump, so its just racing) and laser tag! And then we did 18 holes of goofy golfing! It was so fun! Friday we went to Reed Park, and for those of you that don't know, that is the zoo. They had a polar bear, which was cool. Sam really liked the ducks and the monkeys and the elephants. Then we went to the Mall and then headed home. But it was a great family trip, much needed. Hopefully I will get pictures soon (my camera wasn't working, so my father in law and mother in law took all the pictures. So once I get them, I will certainly post! Here are two pictures of Sam that I took while we were in Tuscon!

This was right before the zoo. We had just got done with breakfast.

His new sunglasses. Pretty rad right?

21st Birthday! July 9

Well today is my husbands birthday! Whoo hoo! He is now 21! So I asked him this morning what he wanted for dinner and he was like hmmmmm mexican or steaks, of course he chose steaks so that he could grill them :) Too bad he has to work on his birthday, but oh well. He also told me that he wanted to have peanut butter cupcakes with peanut butter frosting (if you can't tell, he loves peanut butter!). I then convinced him that peanut butter on peanut butter was too much peanut butter. So I am instead making him chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting (much better...).

Jacob's parents got him a grill. So it is his new favorite toy! And then next weekend we are going to Tuscon!
Happy Birthday Babe!

Hello blogging world!..... again.  I haven't been the best blogger on the block, and recently someone tried hacking into my email from India? So long story short, I had to change my email (and everything that was connected with that email) and delete it. And after I deleted it, I soon found that my old blog was uh gone. Boo! So I am starting this new one with a new found excitement and dedication to blog more! I hope I'm better this time! To get you caught up with my life I will start from the beginning to end with pictures! Enjoy!!

 Family Pictures!!

Yay! Sam turned one!!!!!! He is getting so big!

May 11 2012 Sam had surgery.
This picture was taken two days after surgery.

He had what is called Craniosynostosis (sp?) Basically the plates in his head fused too early and because of this, his brain was forced to grow out the left side. So in order to fix it, they went in and opened the fused plates back up so that his brain would grow normally.

The day we got moved out of the NICU. Also the first day we held him after surgery.

June 1, 2012 he got his staples out. We counted them btw and he had 55 staples and 4 stitches. Tough guy! This is the best picture I could find...

He is still the same ole' happy boy! I love him!

Anyways that is catch-up on the Ollertons'!
